Newly Born :: Henry | St. Louis, MO lifestyle newborn photography, St. Louis Family photography

I'm a little behind on my blogging, but have been so anxious to share this session with you! Kari first contacted me in the early Spring about taking family/maternity pictures before her little guy arrived. But...sickness hit her family and a new baby arrived in mine so we had to push back our session until baby Henry made his appearance this summer. Unfortunately, our session got cut short the day of due to Henry needing to go back to the doctor for concern of jaundice. It made for a crazy hour (most newborn sessions last around 3-4!), but think we were able to both get some great shots and finally capture their sweet little family!! In fact, I had such a hard time narrowing it down, so prepare for a bit of a photo overload!

I adore these few shots of Henry. He only slept for a little while, but he was pretty darn sweet all around.

While Henry was taking a milk break, we were able to grab a few precious shots of Big Sister Lizzie with her Daddy.

And a few of Miss Lizzie on her own. She was such a princess!

And...a few of big sis and little brother.

I think this may be my favorite image from the session. It's always those steal-away moments that become my favorite photos!

This family was just the sweetest, and I'm so grateful I got to spend a morning with them!! Thanks, Kari and Joe for letting me document your adorable growing family!

Jessica + David - Engaged | St. Louis engagement and couples photography, St. Louis Engagement session

About a week and a half ago, we had the opportunity to photography one of the sweetest couples around. We met Jessica + David for the first time that evening, but I could tell through our emails and text messages in the week prior that it was going to be a great session.  Imagine my disappointment when I woke up to a huge thunderstorm that morning! Jessica and I talked about alternate locations, but she assured me that we'd be fine because she did a "Rain-go-away" dance. I told her I was confident in her dancing abilities and we'd see how the day played out. And sure enough, we had a BEAUTIFUL evening in a gorgeous location!

The center stone in Jessica's engagement ring is a family heirloom. I love when pieces can be passed down through the generations - what a tangible portrait of family legacies!

Y'all, they were the cutest. She told me in our first online consult that they loved to dance and it was so sweet to be able to capture it in person. There's something so romantic and honest about a couple dancing together. The closeness, the expressions, the tangible chemistry.

David gave Jessica a beautiful rosary for her birthday, and it was really important that they were able to get some pictures of it. Their faith is the foundation of their love and that was so incredibly obvious in our time spent together!

Can we talk about her stunning blue eyes for a minute. Seriously. Gorgeous.

They are so in love and it shows. Sometimes couples feel awkward about getting their pictures taken and it turns them into some sort of weird, robotic, shy pair of people. Not Jessica and Dave. Their love is evident and genuine and such an honor to be able to witness!

Sigh. Between the beautiful couple, the perfect evening, and the gorgeous light we had, this session was a photographer's dream. Thank you, Jessica + David, for letting us spend our evening with you, capturing your love. Can't wait to stay in touch and see you again at your wedding in December!

Ketteman Family | St. Louis, MO. Family Photographer

There's something so special about photographing friends and their precious families. The Ketteman's, who I'm sure you recognize from their many sessions, are some of our dearest friends and it has been a joy to capture their growing family over the past year. I'm convinced their family just gets more beautiful with each session! Matt, Kim, big sister Claire, and little Wesley are sure to bring a smile to your face today.  :)

I love their bright color choices - it's the perfect way to show off their vibrant personalities!

Claire loves her baby brother!

I just adore these photos of Wesley and his daddy. You can tell their best buds already. So so sweet.

Matt and Kim, thank you for letting me be a part of your growing family in so many ways over the past year. It has been such an honor to document these little moments and memories!
